It is general information about our services. It is not professional, technical or legal advice for your particular situation, and it shouldn't be relied on as if it were.

We try to keep the site accurate and current. We don't promise it is complete, error-free, or up to date at every moment.

Quotes and enquiries

Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, and submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract or reserve any capacity.

• Any indication of scope, timing, availability or cost given on this site or in an initial reply is an estimate until it is confirmed in a written quote.
• A written quote sets out what is included and what it costs, and is subject to its own terms and any expiry stated in it.
• Work begins only once a quote is accepted and any agreed terms are in place.

The demonstration concepts on the Capabilities page are fictional businesses created to illustrate design and functionality. They are not clients, not real businesses, and not a promise that any particular feature will be included in your project.

Intellectual property

The design, code, text, graphics and layout of this website are owned by Magnetic Island Web Design or used with permission. You may view the site, and print or save pages for your own reference or to discuss a possible project with us.

You may not, without written permission:

• copy, republish or redistribute substantial parts of the site;
• use the content as your own or as part of a competing service;
• use our name, brand mark or wordmark as your own branding;
• scrape or systematically extract content, or use automated tools in a way that disrupts the site.

Third-party names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used to identify them, not to imply endorsement. Ownership of work produced for a client is dealt with in that project's own agreement, not here.

Acceptable use

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any connected system;
• submit anything unlawful, misleading, abusive, or containing malicious code;
• send automated, bulk or spam submissions through the enquiry form;

These terms are not a services agreement

These terms govern your use of this website only. Design and development work is covered by a separate written agreement for each project, which deals with scope, payment, materials you supply, ownership of the finished work, third-party services, changes, hosting, support and termination. Nothing on this page replaces that agreement or reduces your rights under it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Courts with jurisdiction there will hear any dispute about them, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim elsewhere under a law that can't be excluded.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
